"I have always admired people when I see them reading,” says 10-year-old Salahudeen. With funding from UK Aid, UNICEF and partners are working on a Reading and Numeracy Activity project in 120 primary schools and 80 Integrated Quranic Schools in Katsina and Zamfara states. The project is helping to break barriers to education and improve quality by teaching pupils how to read in their own language as well as working with communities to encourage reading. #LiteracyDay
